HOWDY!
Welcome to the Texas A&M University.
Sponsored Student Programs Office is
pleased to provide a dedicated team
who will provide assistance and
advice to our recognized sponsored
student and sponsoring entities.
WHO ARE
SPONSORED STUDENTS?
International sponsored students are those
students who will be partially or
entirely supported during their
academic programs for the cost of
their tuition, fees, and living
expenses by their governments,
national or multinational companies, the
government of the United States,
and other third party entities such
as Fulbright. For example, a
scholarship from the military branch
of your government would identify
you as a sponsored student.
On-campus coordination of the
academic programs of sponsored
students is the responsibility of
the Sponsored Student Programs
Office, a unit within International
Programs for Students.
Sponsored students apply for admission to the many programs offered
by Texas A&M University at the
suggestion or request of their
sponsors and complete the
application process having already
secured their sponsorship/funding or
simultaneously to the process of
securing their funding. We, in the
Sponsored Student Programs office
have worked with more than 80
sponsors to assist them in placing
their scholarship grantees in the
appropriate academic programs at
Texas A&M University, and to assist
the sponsors in estimating and
budgeting for the academic and
living costs of their students who
will attend the programs.
Currently, we are working with sponsored students from sponsors
such as CAPES, the Navy of Ecuador,
Bolashak Presidential Scholarship
Program, ARAMCO Oil Company, ExxonMobil, Marathon Oil, Abu Dhabi
National Oil Company, Korea Gas
Company, and Fulbright grantees
from many countries - just to name a
few! |
