Information Regarding Bacterial Meningitis Vaccinations for Students living On-Campus
During the last Texas legislative session, Texas House Bill 4189 (HB4189) was passed and signed into law by Governor Rick Perry. HB 4189 requires that any incoming new student who lives on campus must either receive a vaccination against bacterial meningitis or meet certain criteria for declining such a vaccination before they can live on campus. Texas A&M Among Top 20 Universities In Enrollment Of International Students
Texas A&M ranks 16th in the nation in the latest “Open Doors” report of institutions with the most international students – one place higher than in the previous report. The new “Open Doors” report is based on the 2008/2009 survey conducted annually that is published by the Institute of International Education (IIE) with support from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Texas A&M Interim President R. Bowen Loftin said he is pleased to see the large increase in the number of international students who are choosing to study at the university he heads. The benefits of international students are far-reaching, Loftin added, and address several aspects of Vision 2020 – Texas A&M's quest to become recognized as one of the nation's top 10 public universities within the next decade.

UAE Students Cultural Presentation
In the Aggie tradition of voluntarism, Abdulla Al Nuaimi and Abdulla Al Kathiri volunteered to help a group from the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) become familiar with culture, gender roles and appropriate behavior for the group’s upcoming trip to the United Arab Emirates. Dia de los Muertos Day of the Dead (Friday, October 30th Studio 12 8:00 P.M. - midnight.)
CAMAC is hosting the celebration of Dia de Los Muertos to give those who know what Dia de Los Muertos is and opportunity to celebrate it and honor their lost loved one. It is also a chance to inform other students and Bryan/College Station residents of what Dia is and to give them an experience of what this celebration means in Mexican and Mexican American culture.
